The Community Recreation Center at Douglass Park Plans and Development
The Community Recreation Center at Douglass Park continues to move ahead with a new facility at the intersection of 10th Street and Fort Riley Boulevard at Douglass Park. It would house a basketball court, indoor elevated walking track, and other amenities.
We will be working with the community and the Douglass Center Advisory Board in selecting a final design concept for the Center and are looking for feedback from the community at some upcoming meetings in January. We invite you to take our survey!
The public is invited January 17 and January 20th, to a public open house to provide comments and feedback. A formal presentation of the concepts will be presented at the City Commission work session in February 2019 following the open house.
OPEN HOUSE INFO:
Thursday, January 17, 6:30 p.m. at the Douglass Community Center, 900 Yuma

The planning of this center was encompassed by an overall Facility Feasibility Plan developed by the community and Parks and Recreation. To learn more about the prior planning please visit Facility Feasibility Plan page.
