Manhattan Parks and Recreation offers a variety of youth sports throughout the year. Online registration is available for Summer activities starting on March 25!

My First Soccer


My First Soccer is a 4-week introductory soccer program for ages 3-5. Participants will be introduced to drills and scrimmage situations. Parent participation is required. Register by March 24.

Micro Soccer Youth 

An hour of fun practices, games, and friendly competition. Learn the game, make some friends and practice skills. Ages 4 to 7 years. Register by May 12.

Youth Soccer (Fall)

Youth Soccer (K-7th) encourages young children to be active and develop basic soccer skills. Games will be played Monday - Thursday at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Locations and practice times will vary. Teams will get at least 7 games. Registration opens on March 25. 


My First T-Ball


My First T-Ball is a 4-week introductory T-Ball program for ages 3-5. Participants will be introduced to drills, scrimmages, and skills. Parent participation is required. Register by May 26.

Optimist Youth T-Ball (Kindergarten)

Optimist Youth T-Ball is a league for children in kindergarten, A total of 7 games are played and are played Monday- Thursday at Optimist Park. Children must have completed kindergarten. No exceptions. Register by April 14.

Youth Baseball

Youth Baseball is for participants grade 1st - 8th during the 2018-2019 school year. Games are played Mon - Thursday with Fridays used as rainout dates. Register by April 14.


Youth softball is available to participants grades 1st-8th for the 2018/2019 school year. Games are played Monday-Thursday with Fridays used for rain-out dates if needed. Teams will play 7 games. Register by April 14.

CoRec High School Slow Pitch Softball

This new program is available for high school-aged kids. Look out for more information! Registration opens March 25.


Winter Basketball

For youth in grades 3-8. Learn basic skills in all aspects of basketball, including passing, shooting, defense/offense drills and rebounding. This basketball season runs December - February. Registration opens March 25.


Flag Football (Fall)

Participants will learn the basic skills in all aspects of the game including offense, defense, and basic plays. Mouthpieces are recommended and pants or shorts without pockets are required. Teams will play 7 games and days may vary. Registration opens March 25.

Challenger Football

A free flag football program for kids age 5-18 with special needs starting this April 28 - May 19.  Players play alongside "buddies" to assist them with playing if necessary. Games are held on Sundays from 1-2 pm at Wilson Field in City Park. A parent meeting will be held at a later date with more information.

Youth Volleyball Clinic

This clinic is to help develop basic volleyball fundamentals for 3rd-6th grade students.  The focus will be on passing, setting, attacking, serving, and communication as a team.  Register for Session 1 by January 27. Register for Session 2 by March 24.

Flint Hills Summer Volleyball League

This Summer Volleyball League is for kids in grades 7-12 for the 2019/2020 school year. League play will be on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings beginning June 4. Register by April 26. The three divisions offered are:

Youth Volleyball (Fall)

For kids in grades 4-6 for the 2019/2020 school year. Learn to serve, bump, set, spike, and proper footwork. Knee pads are required. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at MHS. Registration opens March 25.


Youth Bowling Clinic

Youth Bowling Clinic is for kids in grades K-12. Learn the fundamentals of bowling taught by two USBC certified coaches and students of the high school bowling team. Registration opens in August.


Cheerleading (Fall)

Youth cheerleading is a recreational cheer program with squads practicing and cheering at flag football games. Registration opens March 25.

Tiny Tumblers

Tiny Tumblers is a 4-week introductory gymnastics program led by certified coach Tiffany Cook. Register by April 17. 

Coach a Youth Sport

Youth sports rely heavily on the involvement of volunteer coaches. A National Youth Sports Coaching Association (NYSA) clinic will prepare you for this rewarding experience.
